Liquid Handlers
Labcyte Echo 555 acoustic liquid handling platform
The Echo 555 is a non-contact acoustic liquid handler that transfers nanoliter-scale volumes (2.5 nL increments) using focused acoustic energy, eliminating the need for disposable tips and significantly reducing reagent consumption. The system enables highly accurate and precise transfer of compounds and reagents for assay miniaturization, high-throughput screening, dose-response studies, and cherry-picking applications.
The Echo 555 supports direct plate reformatting, compound replication, and generation of concentration-response curves while minimizing cross-contamination and preserving sample integrity. Its ability to rapidly dispense compounds into assay-ready plates makes it a key component of automated screening and hit validation workflows.
The Echo is integrated with a Brooks Automation PreciseFlex 400 robotic arm, Agilent VSpin centrifuge, barcode scanner, plate lidder/de-lidder, and 100-position hotel for automated unattended screening workflows. Echo software v1.6.5 with CherryPick, Plate Reformat, Dose-Response, and Combination Screen modules. Retisoft Genera Pro v 6.8.6 scheduling software.

Formulatrix Mantis
A non-contact, positive displacement liquid handling platform designed for precise low-volume reagent dispensing in assay development and high-throughput screening workflows. The system accurately dispenses nanoliter- to microliter-scale volumes while maintaining high precision and minimizing reagent consumption. Interchangeable dispensing heads support a broad range of aqueous and viscous solutions, enabling rapid assay optimization, reagent titration, and compound dilution with minimal dead volume and reduced risk of cross-contamination.
