The Cytation 5 is a versatile multi-mode microplate reader that integrates automated digital widefield microscopy with traditional plate-based detection. It supports fluorescence, fluorescence polarization, time-resolved fluorescence (TRF), UV-visible absorbance, luminescence, and Alpha technologies, enabling both high-throughput screening and phenotypic cellular imaging applications. The system supports live-cell assays, cell counting, and time-lapse imaging with environmental control provided by integrated temperature and COâ‚‚ modules. Imaging capabilities include brightfield, color brightfield, high-contrast brightfield, phase contrast, and fluorescence imaging (DAPI, GFP, TRITC, Cy5) with magnification up to 60x.
